The Cub Scout uniform comprises a Cub Scout sweatshirt; long, black or grey school trousers; black shoes. The scarf and badges will be supplied when your child is invested (not applicable if moving from our Beaver Colony into the Cub Scout Pack).

This is a ceremony when your child is formally welcomed into the Scout movement and receives their membership badges and the Group scarf on making their Cub Scout promise. Investiture normally takes place after 3-6 weeks attendance. Parents are welcome to come and watch their child being invested.

The cost per term is £28.00 and this includes a Scouting Association Capitation fee of £12.00. The Subscriptions should be paid in full at the beginning of each corresponding school term.  Cheques should be made payable to the 5th Colchester Scout Group.

Subscriptions will commence immediately after your child has been invested on a pro rata basis.

Cub Scout Pack Rules

Unless otherwise told, the Cub Scouts are expected to turn up in their full uniform and with their Personal Kit.

We expect each Cub Scout to behave in a manner that befits the Scout Movement. If any Cub Scout continuously misbehaves they will be suspended for a period, normally one-week. In extreme circumstances we may contact the parent or guardian to collect them immediately.
